Dark Elegy
Reflection
In the shadowed cathedral, where darkness reigns,
A maiden stands, entwined with pain,
Her dress, a tattered, lace-trimmed shroud,
Echoes of a beauty lost, a soul avowed.
The horns of darkness rise above,
A creature of night, a symbol of endless love,
The cemetery's silence, a mournful sigh,
As she surrenders to the darkened sky.
Her eyes closed, in rapture or despair,
She's bound to the shadows, without a care,
The intricate carvings on the wall,
A testament to the art that enthralls,
A dance of light and shadow, a gothic spell,
That weaves a tale of love, and darkness that compels.
In this, a story of contrast is told,
Of light and dark, of beauty and the cold,
A poetic reflection, on the human plight,
A journey through the shadows, into the light.
