Elegy in Bloom
Reflection
In the stillness, a vase stands tall,
A guardian of beauty, beyond them all.
The flowers, a diverse and vibrant throng,
Dance in the light, their stems so long.
Their petals, soft as silk to touch,
Unfurl to greet the gentle hush.
The colors, a kaleidoscope of delight,
From soft pastels to bold, fiery light.
The dark background, a somber hue,
Contrasts with the flowers, anew.
The shadows cast, a subtle play,
As light and darkness weave their way.
In this still life, a story's told,
Of beauty, fleeting, yet forever to hold.
