Rose Requiem

In twilight's hush, where shadows play, A vision stands, in white array, Blonde locks cascading, like a river's flow, As she gazes down, with heart aflame, and slow. The roses, red as passion's burning fire, Seem to echo the depths of her heart's desire, In this moment, she is lost, and found, In the beauty of her sorrow, unbound. The balcony, a stage, for her to stand, A fleeting glance, over a troubled land, The architecture, a backdrop, grand and old, Fades into the background, as her story's told.
