Rose Requiem
Reflection
In twilight's hush, where shadows play,
A maiden stands, in roses' array,
Her skin, a canvas, pale and gray,
Adorned with blooms, in red's sweet sway.
The city's spires, a distant hum,
As darkness falls, her beauty's thrum,
Unfurls like wings, a mystic flight,
In roseate hues, a somber light.
Her eyes, closed, in reverie deep,
A world within, where secrets sleep,
The roses, like tears, upon her cheek,
A sorrow's tale, in silence speak.
In this, a tale of love and pain,
A requiem, for joy and heart's refrain,
The rose, a symbol, of what's been lost,
A beauty, fragile, forever the cost.
