Rose Requiem
Reflection
In twilight's hush, where shadows softly fall,
A vision emerges, veiled in rose's thrall.
A maiden's form, serene and still as stone,
Lies cradled in petals, her beauty alone.
The red roses, like whispers of a lover's sigh,
Enfold her, a tender, mournful, sweet goodbye.
Her lips, a rosebud's promise, softly parted lie,
As if to breathe the scent of love's last sigh.
In this dark, velvet sea, she floats, a pearl,
A treasure hidden, precious, and unfurled.
The roses, like dark thoughts, swirl 'round her head,
A crown of sorrow, in a silent, rosary spread.
Yet, in this somber tableau, beauty reigns,
A fleeting peace, 'neath sorrow's soft refrains.
For in the rose's heart, a secret is told,
Of love's endurance, young, and bold.
And as the petals softly touch her skin,
A mystic bond is formed, a love within.
In this still scene, a story is revealed,
Of love, loss, and memory, forever concealed.
