Rose Requiem
Reflection
In twilight's hush, where shadows play,
A maiden lies, in roses' dark array,
Her face, a porcelain mask of peace,
As petals softly kiss her release.
Her lips, a whispered promise keep,
As red roses weep, in sorrow's deep,
Her eyes, closed to the world's loud din,
Find solace in the roses' gentle kin.
In this still scene, a story's told,
Of love, loss, and a heart grown cold,
The roses, like tears, upon her lay,
A requiem for love that's gone away.
In death's dark veil, she's free to be,
A beauty, lost, in eternity.
The roses, red, like passion's fire,
Now softly whisper, her heart's desire.
