Rose Requiem
Reflection
In the depths of red rose petals, she lies serene,
A vision of beauty, where pain and peace are twinned.
Her lips, a crimson whisper, invite the night,
As darkness wraps around her, a gentle, loving light.
Her eyes, closed to the world, yet open to the soul,
Drink in the beauty of the roses, making her whole.
The velvet softness of the blooms, a tender caress,
Comforts her, as she surrenders to the quiet, dark recess.
In this sea of red, she floats, a porcelain doll,
A fragile, lovely thing, where love and sorrow enthrall.
The roses, like silent sentinels of love and loss,
Guard her, as she rests, in this bower of red, velvety dross.
And when she wakes, the memory of this peaceful nest,
Will stay with her, a bittersweet reminder of love's unrest.
For in the roses, she finds solace, a balm for her heart,
A reflection of the beauty, that will never depart.
