Rose Requiem
Reflection
In twilight's hush, where shadows play,
A maiden lies, entwined in roses' sway,
Her lips, a crimson whisper, softly say,
A tale of love, in darkness' gray.
The flowers, like tears, upon her lay,
A mourning vigil, through the endless day,
Her beauty shines, like stars on a celestial way,
As petals dance, in the gentle breeze's play.
In this still scene, where sorrow reigns,
A serene beauty, like a dream, remains,
The roses, red, like passion's burning flame,
Enfold her, in a lover's tender, sweet refrain.
Her eyes, closed, in slumber deep,
Dream of love, in a mystic sleep,
As the roses, in dark beauty, softly creep,
And in their scent, her spirit does keep.
