Rose Requiem
Reflection
In twilight's hush, where shadows play,
A vision of beauty drifts away,
With roses red, like passionate sighs,
And lips that whisper, 'goodbye, sweet surprise.'
Her eyes, like moonlit seas, serene,
Reflect the dreams that she has seen,
The roses, like her heart, aflame,
With passion's fire, that bears her name.
In this still moment, she is free,
A fleeting glimpse of ecstasy,
A moment's peace, 'neath roseate skies,
Where love and beauty, softly sigh.
And when the dawn, breaks through the night,
The roses fade, like her last light,
The memory stays, a bittersweet refrain,
A rose requiem, for love's sweet pain.
