Submerged Elegy
Reflection
In the depths, two souls entwined in a dance of despair,
Their white dresses billow like clouds in the dark air.
Red petals swirl around them, a morbid waltz,
As they glide through the water, lost in a silent trance.
Their hair flows like seaweed, a golden, ghostly stream,
Their eyes closed, as if in a dream, or a macabre theme.
The water's dark veil shrouds their faces, a somber hue,
Yet, in this eerie scene, a haunting beauty shines through.
Their forms, a reflection, a mirrored, watery gleam,
A poignant reminder of life's fleeting, watery dream.
In this submerged world, they find a strange, dark peace,
A place where sorrow and beauty in darkness release.
Their gentle movements, a slow, underwater sway,
As if they're performing a mournful, aquatic ballet, day by day.
The red petals, like blood, or roses, or tears, surround,
A symbol of love, or loss, or sorrow unbound.
In this haunting image, a story unfolds, untold,
Of love, and loss, and memory, forever to hold.
