Pastel Requiem
Reflection
In the stillness of a glass coffin, a skull lies bare,
A canvas of mortality, with colors beyond compare.
Pastel hues dance upon its surface so fair,
A delicate balance 'twixt life and death's dark lair.
The jaw, ajar, speaks of a silent scream,
As if the soul, in its final dream,
Escapes the confines of bone and frame,
To soar into the realms of an eternal flame.
The teeth, like pearls, shine with a gentle glow,
A beacon in the darkness, a light that will grow.
In this fragile, painted visage, we see,
A reflection of our own mortality.
A reminder to cherish each fleeting day,
To dance with color, to seize the light of the way.
For in the end, it's not the years we live,
But the life we breathe into the moments we give.
